100% toll free calls, seems too good to be true?
When calling I-Talk to I-Talk using the SAVEDIAL feature you will not incur ANY long distance charges. The only possible charges are those from your local ISP or local telephone service to connect to your ISP.

What other features does I-Talk have?

How does I-Talk work?
All I-Talk appliances allow you use your normal telephone to make phone calls over the Internet and save money. I-Talk can call any other I-Talk user anywhere in the world for just the cost of your Internet service. Using I-Talk's SaveDial feature, no long distance charges apply whatsoever -- your I-Talk contacts the other I-Talk, initiates its connection to the Internet, and automatically completes the connection over the Internet.

Can I call a phone number that does not have I-Talk and still save money?
All I-Talk users can call any home, office, or mobile phone in over 200 countries whether or not that phone is equipped with I-Talk. You must have an I-Talk and an InnoSphere account. With the press of a button, you will see "GateDial:" on the I-Talk screen. Dial the desired destination phone number without the international long distance access code you normally use, and remember to end with the # key:

(country code) (area/city code) (phone number) (#)

I-Talk will connect to the Internet and dial the specified phone number via InnoSphere. Within seconds, users will hear the usual ringing (ringback) tone and can begin conversing once the remote party answers.

What's InnoSphere?
InnoSphere is ar global Internet telephony service network that usesvoice-over-IP technology. InnoSphere combines the power of IP telephony with the reach of today's worldwide telephone network. InnoSphere provides service coverage to over 200 countries, enabling I-Talk users to place low-cost, high-quality calls to anywhere at anytime at low competitive rates. Your InnoSphere account will be charged on a per-minute basis for the InnoSphere calls you make, with different rates for each country you call.

How much do calls cost using InnoSphere?
InnoSphere supports calls to over 200 countries at some of the lowest rates available. All InnoSphere calls are billed per minute in US dollars. For rate information please contact us.

How good is the voice quality? Is it like a regular phone?
I-Talk uses digital speech compression to support voice communications over the Internet. The voice quality you experience is directly related to the instantaneous level of Internet traffic and the quality of the connections to the Internet that you and any I-Talk user you call may have. The technology of I-Talk is designed to provide high voice quality with minimum delay, but it may not sound as good as a regular phone. I-Talk's Performance Tuning feature allows you to extend the delay you experience in order to improve voice quality during periods of heavy Internet traffic.

What do I need to use I-Talk?
In addition to a standard analog telephone, you must have dial-up access to the Internet in order to use I-Talk. I-Talk works with any Internet Service Provider that supports the PPP (PAP-authentication) protocol, one of the most commonly used protocols for dial-up connections to the Internet. Certain online services such as AOL and Delphi, however, do not support PPP and will not work with I-Talk. With an Internet account and I-Talk, you can call any other I-Talk user. To call any phone in over 200 countries whether or not they have I-Talk, you must have an InnoSphere account.

How do I enter my Internet account information into I-Talk?
You may enter the required information concerning your Internet Service Provider account through your phone. Configuring I-Talk is as easy as entering information into your mobile phone.

Do I need a PC to use I-Talk?
No, just connect I-Talk between your phone and the wall jack. I-Talk is a stand-alone device with all the power and capability needed for Internet communication.

Can I use my I-Talk in an office with a PBX console?
If you or the I-Talk you are calling is connected to the telephone network through a PBX and are unable to use SaveDial you can still use I-Talk to make phone calls over the Internet. Simply call the other I-Talk user and establish a regular call -- after connecting, either party can press the # key on their telephone keypad. Both I-Talk devices will disconnect the call and connect to their respective Internet Service Providers. I-Talk will then automatically re-establish connection between both parties over the Internet.

For the cost of Internet service for both parties and approximately one minute of long distance charges to establish the connection, I-Talk lets you enjoy your conversation over the Internet for as long as you like. The process of making an I-Talk-to-I-Talk call is as simple as making a normal call followed by the # key.
